Via the generous support of the Victorian Government, the Australian Product Realisation Centre (or APRC) is able to provide expert product realisation services at low cost to eligible Australian organisations.

This means access to specialist engineering skills to translate your invention into

  • Realistic product prototypes (for example to generate traction with investors or management)
  • Robust working prototypes (to enable a sound and repeatable platform for continuing research)
  • Fully developed products that are ready to sell (complete with regulatory compliance and manufacturing strategy)

at a fraction of the cost of traditional engineering consulting firms. In return, the Centre typically retains some IP rights, or royalty stream in resulting products. This arrangement is especially targeted towards startup organisations who are often equity risk but cash poor and needing to amortise their development risk.

If you are a small technology based business or public sector research organisation with innovations in micro, bio or nanotechnology, the APRC can help you: Define a well targeted initial product based on worlds best practise expeditionary market analysis tools Provide electronics, software, mechanical and industrial engineering to develop your innovaton into a complete system

This avoids you needing to establish a full engineering team internally or pay traditional consulting rates, while taking advantage of the APRC teams proven track record in product realisation for small scale technologies.

The APRC is actively looking for projects. If you would like to learn more, please follow the contact link, or contact the Small Technologies Cluster.
